3rd and last [YAY=)] post of CA1(Something that took place in school)

My last post for the CA1 assignment
I am here now to talk about an experience that happened to me during school

As I am part of VS Concert Band, Monday and Friday mornings are spent warming up to play National Anthem for the school. A prestigious Band, I joined due to a need of learning to play an instrument. After playing for the school 1 Monday morning, I was abit surprised to hear that the Sec 2s had to stay back with Sec 1s for a CCA talk. As Mr. Lee talked about the various aspects of CCA's, I started to recall a time when I 1st joined VS and tried with all my might to join VSCB...

I had filled up the CCA selection form and it returned with the result of me being sent to NPCC, despite putting it at 5th choice and Band as my 1st choice. Though it was an appealing CCA, it required a great deal of discipline and endurance which I, honestly, lack. I remembered an account of a fellow Victorian who had gone to NPCC and had to appeal 7 times to try to get into VSCB, but ultimately failed to get in.

At that time I was fearful that I might have strayed into the path of that senior, going to a CCA which I disliked. I spent a couple sleepless nights wondering about my future and sympathised
with the Sec 1s. As Mr Lee Finished his speech, I woke out of my daze and was thankful that I was able to enter such a prestigious CCA

2nd post of CA1(A moment spent alone doing something I enjoyed)

It's Sam again
I would now like to reflect on an afternoon spent alone doing something I enjoyed
That "Something" would be going to East Coast Park to cycle

Many of the Bedok( where I live) community would say that East Coast Park is an ideal place for some quiet time and excercise. It took a short 5 min bicycle ride to the park, and I was revved up and ready to go. I pushed the peddles at a slow pace, positioned at the side of the road so as not to block the more reckless cyclists. As I passed the jetty I began to notice the the beauty and serenity of the park.

Storks were soaring high in the azure sky, trees and grass interlocked to form a diverse environment filled with a teeming variety of wildlife. Squirrels leapt from tree to tree with grace and butterflies carelessly looped in and out of flowers to get nectar. A rather blank expression appeared on my face as I marveled at the beauty of nature

Moving on, I reached a 1km stretch of straight road.
Feeling a sudden need for adrenaline, I pumped up the peddles of the nbike and cycled furiously. Several other cyclist going in opposite directions gave looks of shock as they rode past. Filled with satisfaction, I slowly rode home.

1st post for CA1(A moment I enjoyed with the family

So its like this. I have been givien an assignment on a past experience.
I have picked a nostalgic trip to Crystal Jade Restaurant during the december holidays

It was a bright Sunday morning and after coming from Church, were feeling a tad bit drowsy, due to the usual late night movies we all watched. I vividly remember watching the action-packed DIE-HARD 4 during the previous night. Due to my father's usual ravings on rising carpark prices throughout the country, we decided to leave the car at a free carpark and proceeded to walk to Plaza Singapura, 1 of our all time favorite destinations for entertainment.

Upon entering Crystal Jade, rich aromas of Dim Sum wafted into our noses. Our mouths watered in anticipoation of the up coming feast. We ordered our usual Dim Sum, such as crispy Carrot Cake, steaming Siew Mai and savoury Chicken Feet. Being food-groupies at heart, I would say that this-eating out with the family- was an all-time enjoyable experience.

A rich serving of ice-cream at Swensens later, we were off to the cinema where we watched StarDust, a romantic fairytale loosely based on Neil Gaimen's novel of the same name.
As a family we did what we liked to do best: mainly relishing food and watching movies
This was a moment i enjoyed with the family

1st post

This is my first ever post on a blog.
Before this I have/would never write on a blog
I see a blog as a perverse way of expressing oneself
Should'nt personal information be kept in a diary, or strictly to loved ones?
And after alot of hype about reports about explicit blogs on the net in 2006 iI have yet to be be converted into a "BLOGGER"
But for my studies sake, I will bear it and go through this.
Over the course of the week I will come up with 3 posts regarding ummm..."stuff"
